"Life takes you in strange directions. I was born after World War II (an original member of the Baby Boomer Generation), and raised in the 1950's to become a full fledged member of the '60's Generation (www.60sgeneration.com).
Along the way I was a radio guy and a rock 'n roll musician (singer, guitarist) with a little success. Got away from it and after a stint as a military officer got into the "suit" role big time...in advertising, marketing and brand development...around the world.
Also owned and operated an entertainment company that helped emerging young musicians get airplay, bookings and signings (Why would anyone really want that?). And we staged and promoted large venue concerts in ballparks and other venues throughout the Northeast USA.
Sold businesses and started to eye Key West, Florida as more than a getaway site. Then fate intervened.
After walking away from my heart and music 35 years before, I found myself reunited with '60's bandmates for a couple major fundraisers. Got the bug again...and reacquainted myself with the great music of the roots of rock and roll.
That lead to BluesRoot...a music performance project that then led to a CD...that lead to international distribution...that lead to a management team...that lead to air play...that lead to more shows...well, you get the picture!
It also lead me to BluesRoot Radio, and on Feb. 28, 2006 we went live. The results have been tremendous. Thousands of regular listeners. And now this new website that hopes to not only keep those great songs alive but give some air play to new artists as well (submissions).
BluesRoot Radio is an offering of BluesRoot Entertainment. BluesRoot Entertainment has been launched to provide web-based, easy to do, support for new artists. It provides quick publicity throughout North America. It also provides online advertising and exposure opportunities and an email based system to contact thousands of music industry decision makers as well from promoters, publicists, and record labels to venue owners and music fans. We want to help everyone get noticed...get heard...and get booked.
